The centre comprises Medical and Dental Consulting Suites, Treatment Rooms, Dispensary, Physiotherapy Area, Waiting and Storage Areas and Ancillary Accommodation together with associated external works, landscaping and services.
Works were undertaken on an active army base necessitating close liaison with the military personnel to ensure complete safety and minimum disruption.
This design and construct project was completed ahead of programme allowing the client early occupation.
The courtyard has been designed on the Ying Yang principle with a balance of hard and soft landscaping affording very low maintenance.
Examples of value engineering showing considerable cost savings for the client are:
Power floated ground floor saving the need for screeded finish.
Roof designed to span the external walls avoiding the need for load bearing internal walls.
Distribution of services to all wings via a Central corridor in the roof space affording efficient access.
This building is now used as an MOD model for Healthcare Centres, worldwide.
